Refund and Cancellation Policy

Effective date: August 06, 2026

1. Scope

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to paid subscriptions and one-time credit packs purchased for Phototune through the Phototune website or a connected billing portal. It forms part of the Terms of Service.

Purchases processed by a Merchant of Record are also subject to that provider's buyer terms, statutory refund rules, and payment procedures. If the provider or applicable law gives you greater rights, those greater rights apply.

2. Cancelling a Subscription

You may cancel automatic renewal at any time through the account billing controls, the subscription-management link in your purchase receipt, the Merchant of Record portal, or by contacting us at billing@phototune.ai.

Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund the current paid period.

Unless otherwise stated, access continues until the end of the current paid subscription period.

You should cancel before the renewal date displayed in your account, receipt, or billing portal to avoid the next charge.

Deleting your Phototune account does not necessarily cancel a subscription. You must cancel recurring billing separately.

Unused subscription credits expire at the end of the applicable paid subscription period after cancellation, as described in the Terms of Service.

Separately purchased one-time credits remain available until their stated expiration date and are not removed solely because a subscription is cancelled.

3. Seven-Day First-Purchase Refund

Phototune offers a voluntary refund for an eligible first paid purchase if all of the following conditions are met:

  • the request is submitted within seven calendar days after the purchase;
  • it is the user’s first paid purchase of any Phototune subscription or one-time credit pack;
  • no more than 10% of the paid credits made available to the account from that purchase by the time of the refund request have been used;
  • the account has not violated the Terms of Service and there are no reasonable indicators of fraud, refund abuse, duplicate accounts, or manipulation;
  • the purchase was made through an eligible Phototune billing channel and can be refunded by the applicable Merchant of Record or payment provider.

The 10% threshold is calculated using the paid credits allocated as part of the purchase for which the refund is requested. Free, promotional, or bonus credits are not included in this calculation unless clearly stated otherwise before purchase.

If usage records show that the applicable threshold has been exceeded, the voluntary first-purchase refund may be refused. This does not affect mandatory consumer rights.

For annual subscriptions where credits are allocated monthly, the 10% threshold is calculated using the subscription credits made available to the account by the time of the refund request, rather than the total credits scheduled for the entire annual subscription period.

4. Automatic Renewal Refund Window

If a subscription renews automatically and you did not intend to renew, you may request a refund of the most recent renewal charge if:

  • you contact Phototune or the applicable Merchant of Record within 48 hours after the renewal charge; and
  • you have not used any paid feature or consumed any paid credits after the renewal charge.

This voluntary renewal window applies only to the latest renewal charge. Earlier subscription periods are not refundable merely because the Service was unused. Any mandatory renewal or cancellation rights available under applicable law remain unaffected.

5. One-Time Credit Packs

A first one-time credit-pack purchase may qualify for the seven-day refund described above if no more than 10% of its paid credits have been used. After the threshold or request period is exceeded, one-time credit packs are generally non-refundable except for duplicate charges, verified technical failure, or mandatory legal rights.

Credits are not redeemable for cash and cannot be partially withdrawn from an account on demand. If a full refund is approved, all credits and benefits associated with that purchase may be removed immediately.

6. Duplicate, Incorrect, or Unauthorized Charges

Contact us promptly if you believe you were charged twice, charged an incorrect amount, or did not authorize a transaction. We may request transaction details and may refer the request to the Merchant of Record or payment provider.

Verified duplicate or incorrect charges will be corrected or refunded. For suspected account compromise, also secure your account and contact your bank or payment provider as appropriate.

7. Technical Failures

If a processing request fails because of a verified Phototune system error, our usual first remedy is to restore the consumed credits or allow the request to be repeated. A refund may be considered where:

  • the paid Service was materially unavailable or unusable for a sustained period;
  • Phototune or its providers could not deliver the purchased access within a reasonable time;
  • credit restoration or another reasonable remedy cannot resolve the issue;
  • a refund is required by applicable law.

Temporary interruptions, isolated failed requests that are credited back, device or connection problems outside Phototune's control, and subjective dissatisfaction with an AI result do not automatically entitle a user to a refund.

8. Situations Generally Not Eligible for a Voluntary Refund

  • the request is submitted after the applicable seven-day or 48-hour period;
  • more than 10% of the relevant paid credits have been used;
  • the user dislikes an AI result but the Service processed the request as described;
  • the user selected the wrong feature, plan, file, or processing option;
  • the subscription was not used during the paid period;
  • credits expired or failed to roll over under rules disclosed before purchase;
  • access was suspended or terminated for a violation of the Terms of Service;
  • the purchase or credits were obtained through abuse, fraud, resale, account sharing, or circumvention of limits;
  • a refund has already been provided for the same user, payment method, or substantially related account under the first-purchase guarantee.

9. Mandatory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Policy limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law, including remedies for a digital service that is faulty, not as described, or not supplied, and any applicable right of withdrawal.

Depending on your location and how checkout consent is implemented, a statutory withdrawal right may end or be reduced after you expressly request immediate access to digital content or services and acknowledge the relevant legal consequence. The Merchant of Record may administer these rights under its own refund policy.

10. Refund Amount and Credit Treatment

Where a full voluntary refund is approved:

  • the refund will generally be limited to the amount actually paid for the eligible purchase, including any applicable discount;
  • remaining paid credits, promotional credits, bonuses, and other benefits associated with the refunded purchase may be removed from the account;
  • free or promotional credits have no cash value and are not refunded separately;
  • the refund will normally be issued through the original Merchant of Record or payment provider and to the original payment method;
  • taxes will be refunded or adjusted as determined by the Merchant of Record, payment provider, and applicable law.

Phototune does not generally provide partial voluntary refunds or cash withdrawals for unused credits. Partial refunds may be provided where required by applicable law or approved by the Merchant of Record or payment provider.

Currency conversion differences, bank charges, card-issuer fees, and other third-party costs are determined by the relevant financial providers and are outside Phototune’s control.

11. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact billing@phototune.ai or use the support or refund interface provided by the applicable Merchant of Record.

Please include, where available:

  • the email address associated with your Phototune purchase;
  • the transaction, order, invoice, or receipt number;
  • the date and amount of the charge;
  • the subscription or credit pack purchased;
  • a brief explanation of the request.

We may request additional information reasonably necessary to locate the transaction, verify the account holder, review usage, or prevent fraud.

Approved refunds are issued through the applicable Merchant of Record or payment provider. The time required for the refunded amount to appear depends on the payment method, provider, bank, and country. Approval by Phototune does not guarantee immediate settlement by the user’s financial institution.
